A professional performer and stage director since 1998 Lu studied dance, circus acrobatics and acting, and she holds a Master’s degree from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA). Lu has worked for a variety of international theatrical, television and film productions.
In 2006 Lu opened Pole Dance Tokyo studio, the largest circus acrobatics/aerial dance academy in Japan with over 15,000 students. A pioneer in the pole dance industry, promoting it as both art form and sport in Japan. She also runs her talent agency and stage production.
Her employee and client list include world champion dancers and Cirque du Soleil performers. She is a highly regarded trainer and mentor to many award-winning dancers such as Mai Sato (Cirque Du Soleil artist and World Pole Champion 2009 & 2010), Eri Kamimoto (Disabled Division winner 2010) and many more. She also worked as an official judge for world pole championships and Japan pole championship between 2007 and 2015.
